● ● ● There will be no examples of OOC harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind in Once and For All. You risk being removed from the role-play if you are found to be harassing another member.
● ● ● Please avoid very sensitive or potentially triggering topics in all public chats. this includes examples of politics, religion, and other recognized sensitive topics; private messages are an appropriate place for such discussions with a party willing to participate in said discussion, but never in a public space.
● ● ● No 'not safe for work' (NSFW) content! We are a PG-15+ role-play, but explicit content (whether nudity, excessive gore, or generally inappropriate content) will be immediately deleted from anywhere it is posted and you will be sent a stern message regarding our rules and given a warning.

● ● ● Joining Clans. When you join, you are limited to one "primary" Clan for two weeks. However, after that two weeks is up, you are able to create a character for any other "secondary" Clan! Currently, we only offer up to 2 Clans per member, but plan to implement the ability to join a third in the future. As a subnote, if you wish to switch your primary Clan for any reason, consult a staff member on how to proceed!
● ● ● New Characters. If you want another character, simply alert the leader or deputy of the Clan you intend to join! We encourage you to seek out people who may want plots or connections for any new character - we want you to feel as included as possible with the community!
● ● ● Removing or Killing Characters. If you want to kill a character, alert your high ranks! They will be willing to work with you to plot a unique character disposal if you so wish. If you simply want to remove your character (which is OK! Sometimes, a character just doesn't click), just speak to your leader and say so. You are allowed to scrap any character you have had for over two real-life weeks. Just be sure to let anyone you plotted with know about their removal!
● ● ● Outsiders. Outsiders (loners, kittypets, rogues) are allowed! Currently, we have a cap of five outsiders at a time to prevent overpopulation while we are still growing. If the community demands for it, we are willing to expand this cap at a later time!
● ● ● Keep Discord discussions in the appropriate channels. It's easy to lose track of a conversation, and that's totally OK! However, role-playing outside of your designated channels or spamming may earn a nudge in the right direction.

● ● ● Please don't advertise another role-play in OAFA. Commissions, artwork, and other ways to support you as a creator or writer is encouraged here! But please don't advertise yours or another role-play publicly. However, you can ask privately to any friend or acquaintances you meet! Hopefully in good faith.
● ● ● Orphan Kits and Litters. Please be mindful of the number of kits in the Clan at any given time. If you plan for a large litter in a Clan already struggling with a kit count, you may be asked to reconsider the timeline. We want everyone to be able to role-play how they want, but not at the expense of others! Additionally, all kits must have at least one active parent. No 'orphan' kits are permitted, unless there is a specific plot-related reason. Coordinate with your high ranks!
● ● ● Character Gender & Orientation. Characters of all genders and orientations are allowed and encouraged here. Role-play is a means of expressing oneself through a vessel - and it can be incredibly meaningful to role-play them. Our only request is to role-play this tastefully and respectfully. If we find you representing in a disrespectful manner, you will be approached and asked to improve or risk a warning.
● ● ● Border Role-Play. If you want to role-play with someone in another Clan at the border or on neutral grounds, you don't need to ask permission! (If it's romantic, you get your dice rolled.) We do not want to dampen the possibility of something meaningful happening - you are free to role-play freely as you wish, which means you can even start fights without alerting the high ranks. But know any IC actions might have IC consequences later!
● ● ● Reporting System. We hope reports won't be a common thing, but we understand the necessity of it in any online community. If you need to file a report for any reason, please reach out to a director or mod (and please bring proof for your case, in the form of screenshots and what you are charging!) If you wish to report anonymously, please feel free to submit to our Anonymous Ticket Google Form, located here.

● ● ● No meta-roleplaying or godmodding. Don't take your out-of-character knowledge to your in-character, such as them mysteriously knowing an important plot or event before it happens. Further, don't let OOC judgments determine IC feelings, either.
● ● ● Actions have consequences! In Once and for All, we want every small action to have a big effect where we can. Anything your character does, like break the code, start a border scuffle, or even have a talk with another character, could have unintended (good or bad) consequences among the Clan. Use this to your advantage if you so choose!
● ● ● No forbidden romance without explicit permission. Even for a short-lived fling, you will need to ask for permission from your high ranks the nature of any form of forbidden romantic relationship, whether loner/Clan, healer/warrior, or cats from different Clans. We encourage you to make these interesting, if you want to do one! Make it an event that others can be involved in, especially if it ends badly. There is a dice roll on our Discord dedicated to rolling to "be caught," which will be required for you to use if your characters meet "under the radar." This also counts for a one-sided forbidden romance.

● ● ● Mate-begging is forbidden. A decades-old rule that may be out of the role-play culture now, but still must be stated: please do not force someone into a ship or beg openly for someone to become your character's mate. We encourage you to reach out patiently and see if anyone would like to plot with you! Good things come to those who wait, after all.
● ● ● Realism. When designing your character, be sure that they have realistic colours! Unique markings or designs are encouraged, but try to avoid a solid red cat if you can.
● ● ● Purebred Cats aren't Allowed. Your cat can definitely have features like a purebred cat (like huge and fluffy like the Maine Coone, or rosette-like Bengal markings) but to be a purebred cat itself is not allowed. Unless they are formerly a kittypet who escaped from a home (please ask permission from your leader before joining, in this case.)

● ● ● Naming. Prefixes can't be repeated in the same clan; this might be very frustrating if your longstanding OC has the same prefix as someone already in your clan, but this helps to avoid general confusion when trying to reach out to one or the other!
